Hopewell Valley Central High School strives to provide a comprehensive choral music program for its students. Over 150 students sing in the curricular choral program at Hopewell Valley Central High School. All of the choirs jointly present two major concerts a year: the Winter Choral Concert in December, and the Spring Choral Concert in April. In addition, the individual choirs sing at various festivals, concerts and other community events throughout the year.
The choral program at HVCHS is tiered program with an entry-level training choir (Concert Choir), and two auditioned ensembles: one for treble voices (Ragazze) and one for mixed voices (Chamber Singers). Additionally, students may participate in smaller a cappella ensembles, which are organized and led by the students themselves.
Concert Choir is the curricular choir for all freshman students at Hopewell, as well as any upper-class student who A) wishes to sing in a choir without an audition, or B) is not selected for Ragazze or Chamber Singers. Divided into two gender-specific sections, the Concert Choir focus on improving music literacy, vocal technique, and musicianship skills through rehearsal and performance of two-, three-, and four-part repertoire for men’s and women’s voices. In addition, the two sections will combine to perform mixed choir repertoire as well. No audition is necessary to enroll in Concert Choir. Occasional evening rehearsals may also be required.

Con Brio is a mixed ensemble of 12-16 singers, comprised of auditioned members currently enrolled in a choral class. U-Got-Male and She-Major, HVCHS' male and female a cappella groups, are non-auditioned and open to the entire student body, regardless of choral enrollment.
